Our client based in Witney are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator due to restructuring with the Department, a position has become available to coordinate the European Road and Export shipments for the Company.
The candidate will be reporting to the Logistics/Administration Manager and working within a friendly and busy team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the whole delivery process in a timely and effective manner from start to finish - liaising with the sales team, warehouse staff, customers, freight forwarders and couriers.
- Monitor stocks and achievable lead times based on stock availability.
- Stock Rotation.
- Process Export documentation in line with customer requirements.
- Provide Customer Service.
- Manage time & priorities based on customer needs.
- Updating monthly freight tariffs received from suppliers on a regular basis.
- Managing freight forwarders/hauliers performance and monitoring KPIs on a monthly basis.
- Raising Non-Conformances/Observations where applicable.
- Dealing with general telephone enquiries.
- Provide cover for other members of the Logistics Team as and when required.
Requirements:
- Good standard of education and relevant experience in an Export/International Trade and Logistics environment
- Have an awareness of Export/Import and International Trade documentation
- An awareness of Letter of Credit procedures would be advantageous.
- An understanding of trading regulations would be advantageous.
- Be computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office (Excel, and Word). Outlook and other databases (ERP Systems).
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills used to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Salary up to GBP 25,000 subject to experience
25 days paid holiday per annum
Hours of work - 9.00 to 5.30 with 1 hour for lunch
Training:
In-house training will be provided along with any external courses that are deemed necessary.
