We have a new opening for an experienced Brand Finance Manager to come in an partner on some of our most exciting brands - our Adult, Social & Vitality portfolio. Coming into the role as a qualified accountant, you will be the go-to finance lead for this particular group of brands and be accountable for the financial delivery, performance, insight and governance across the portfolio.
With some really exciting activation activity taking place this year, this is a great time to get involved across a mix of project and value-add activity. Partnering with the Brand Director and her team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and commercial insight, accurate and intuitive reporting, supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, as well as offering continuous process improvement in the role.
This particular role requires an individual with a strong brand/marketing finance background (preferably within FMCG), a successful track record of insight delivery and someone who can influnce/communicate ap to Executive level.
Key responsibilities:
- Business performance management
- Provide insight to the leadership team on commercial and total business unit performance, including analysis against budget, forecast and prior year
- Through accurate and insightful reporting on a periodic basis, continually raise awareness of financial performance across the team, and ensure plans are in place to deliver and where possible exceed budget commitments
- Effectively communicate with all relevant business functions and ensure link with business processes (i.e. Financial planning, benefit tracking, capital tracking)
- Analysis of promotional and commercial activity, providing actionable insight regarding the key drivers of performance with focus on internal and external market considerations
- Pricing support and tracking of in-year delivery vs. budget / forecast
- Coach & support the development of the commercial team's financial capability where appropriate, to ensure the financial delivery of the commercial plan
Experience Required:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
- Brand / Marketing Finance expereince essential
- Background in FMCG highy desirable - retailer or manufacturer
- Strength in analytical reasoning and numerical analysis - able to distil complex financial concepts / data to non-finance audience
- A relentless drive and leadership impact to get things done
- Ability to engage and influence across a range of business functions, and at senior levels
- Ability to take the initiative to deliver business solutions and provide thought leadership
- Broad business and commercial awareness with a strategic mind-set
