To that end, we are looking to bring on board a talented Channel/Sales Finance Manager to focus on our high-profile At Home customer group and partner with our senior sales team stakeholders. As a Qualified accountant in this role, you will be aligned to these key large retail customers and be accountable for the financial delivery, performance, insight and governance of this Channel (At Home)
As an exemplary business partner, you will be responsible for providing strategic and commercial insight, accurate and intuitive reporting, supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, as well as offering continuous process improvement in the role.
This is a role that would suit an experienced Commercial Finance Manager from an FMCG or Retail environment who is looking to take their development and skill-set to the next level. Any previous experience in Trade Terms and Joint Business Plans would be particualrly well suited to this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Business performance management and insight to drive brilliant commercial delivery
- Provide insight to your customer leadership team on commercial and total business unit performance, including analysis against budget, forecast and prior year
- Through accurate and insightful reporting on a periodic basis, continually raise awareness of financial performance across the team, and ensure plans are in place to deliver and where possible exceed budget commitments
- Financial analysis of the Trade Terms process and ROI of all recommended trade investment / capital investment
- Effectively communicate with all relevant business functions and ensure link with business processes (i.e. Financial planning, benefit tracking, capital tracking)
- Support the preparation of robust and timely period end accounts for GB and Ireland in line with the group timetable
- Create periodic reports, and ensuring period end reconciliations are prepared for all investment spend balance sheet accounts, fully supported with adequate documentation and narrative
- Analysis of promotional and commercial activity, providing actionable insight regarding the key drivers of performance with focus on internal and external market considerations
- Pricing support and tracking of in-year delivery vs. budget / forecast
- Coach & support the development of the commercial team's financial capability where appropriate, to ensure the financial delivery of the commercial plan
Experience Required:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
- A Commercial Finance background in FMCG, Retail or Manufacturing
- Strength in analytical reasoning and numerical analysis - able to distil complex financial concepts / data to non-finance audience

- Ability to take the initiative to deliver business solutions and provide thought leadership
