Detailing & Design Manager- required for my client who are a long-established family-run business based in north London. The Detailing & Design Manager will be working for a company that specialise in the design and fabrication of architectural and structural metalwork. The Detailing & Design Manager will be working within the residential and commercial sectors. Detailing & Design Manager will be designing, architectural staircases, fire escapes, structural steelwork, gates and railings for the construction industry, stainless steel fabrication and bespoke items.
The successful Detailing & Design Manager will be working for an expanding company and heading up a team so experience of this is essential. The Detailing & Design Manager will also to proficient in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD. They will be working closely with the contracts manager and coordinate with the clients, Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Sub-Contractors.
Detailing & Design Manager Position Overview
- 3D design, modelling and detailing of structural and architectural metal work projects
- Coordination of request for information, site survey requirements
- Preparation and presentation of detailed Building Information Models and resolution/update for technical points with contracts managers
- Preparation of General Arrangement and detailed fabrication and construction drawings Preparation of Numerical Control files
- Specification and preparation of raw material and parts list for production to budget requirements
- Coordination of project design programs with Contract Managers and other parties including client Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Sub-Contractors
- Resolution of technical drafting queries
- Review of completed drawings
- Attendance at weekly production meetings
Detailing & Design Manager Position Requirements
- 8 years' previous experience with D & D in a manger role
- Proficient in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD programs
- Experience of Metal work
- Full Driving Licence
Detailing & Design Manager Position Remuneration
- Salary- GBP45K - GBP60K DOE
- Government Pension
- Holiday - 20 days + BH
