Amplifon are offering an 'earn whilst you train' programme for individuals to complete a Foundation Degree in Hearing Aid Audiology, taking careers to a new level and supporting our mission to help people to hear better.
Delivered in partnership with De Montfort University in Leicester, our trainees undertake an exciting programme of blended study lasting approximately fourteen months. Practical skills are developed and further assessed in supervised work-based training placements.
The role of the Trainee Hearing Aid Audiologist is varied and fulfilling. You will offer a positive and life changing experience, enriching the quality of lives and providing on-going hearing rehabilitation and support to our customers both within our branch network and within their homes.
Daily tasks might include assessment of lifestyle and social needs, taking relevant medical case histories, examining the outer ear, assessing hearing ability using a range of techniques, offering advice, making a referral for a medical opinion, prescription and fitting of suitable hearing technology and creating individually tailored management plans.
You will have a warm and personable manner with a strong aptitude for developing rapport and empathising with others.
You will be firmly focused on delivering high standards of customer service.
A commercial outlook and previous sales experience would be highly desirable.
You must possess a current, valid UK driving licence.

Rewards and remuneration
Company car, fuel card, mobile phone and laptop.
Year 1/Phase 1: GBP14,500 pa
Year 1/Phase 2: GBP14,500 pa plus a variable pay scheme following successful completion of Phase 1 Year 2: Standard terms and commission following successful completion of the Foundation Degree
In addition, Amplifon pays for all accommodation, tuition and examination fees for the duration of the course.
