General Manager - Leisure Attraction - GBP20,000 - GBP30,000
Location: Eastbourne
Salary: GBP20,000-GBP30,000
My Client is part of a Visitor attraction, entertainment and educational venues within the leisure sector who are currently growing the business. An opportunity as General Manager in a beautiful location on the South coast has become available for a self-motivated, Bright and commercially aware General Manager for this seasonal attraction site
- Undertake the required opening/closing procedures and preparing Fort Fun ready for opening at the stated times.
- Making sure we reach quarterly targets on sales turnover.
- To make sure labour is less than 25% of turnover each month.
- Assisting in organising operations for event days- character days, Halloween and Christmas.
- Recruiting of staff in each different department.
- Where necessary undertake all disciplinary matters with regard to staff ensure the Director is informed of proposals prior to action.
- Provide customer care through effective communication such as greeting, serving, taking phone calls, dealing with enquiries or complaints appropriately.
- Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children and adults at Fort Fun.
- Making sure that checks on the rides, splash equipment and any outside play are done.
- That chemicals used for the splash park are used correctly.
- Monitor and ensure all agreed company policies and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- To be competent at solving problems.
- Ensure that all cash is handled, accurately accounted and banked as needed.
- Ensure all administration of documentation is accurate and all invoices/delivery notes/papers are given to Head Office/Accounts on time.
- Ensure all kitchen and bar orders are done on time.
- Secure the best prices for all items and products purchased for the centre - food, drink, cleaning products etc
- Ensure that the whole site (inside/outside) is continuously safe, clean, and at a high standard for customers.
- To do vending on a weekly basis. During peak times vending to be done twice a week.
