Perpetual Partnerships is working conjunction with a global multi-million-pound turnover business in their search for an experienced Proposals/Bid Manager. The company are comprised of a number of trading divisions, each serving specific sectors of the engineering and construction market. Our partner is the largest player their market, with an annual turnover well in excess of GBP40 Million.
The larger group turnover in excess of $12 billion, with over 76,000 employees operating in 34 different countries. Each division within the group operate as a business in their own right, and there is every chance that you have heard of some of them, without perhaps knowing that they are related through common ownership.
The Role
As a Contracts Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the production of Quotations/Technical Submittals/ Drawings/ Proposals/ specifications for supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance bids for the company range of security products, including but not limited to high-tech fencing, barriers and automated entrance controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the sales and business development teams with major or multidiscipline bids
- Ensuring all bids are submitted within deadlines
- Presenting a professional image at all times
- Producing and/or coordinating bid design, pricing documents and drawings for multidiscipline projects ranging from GBP5,000 to GBP5,000,000
- Ensuring all quotations are accurately costed and in compliance with client specification
- Adherence to Company's policies and procedures
- Supporting Sales and Operations in the field when necessary
Essential requirements:
- An engineering technical qualification HNC or Higher.
- Experience in solutions design and estimating within the M & E sector
- Experience in a similar role liaising with End Users, Main Contractors or M&E Contractors.
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to multi task and set clear priorities
- Technically adept with good practical skills
- Good knowledge of Office applications (Google & MS)
- Able to interpret Customers detailed specifications and drawings
- Fluent in written and spoken English with good communication skills
- Strong numerical, analytical skills and a strong financial acumen
- High attention to detail
- Good level of customer service and customer liaison skills
- Able to work on own initiative whilst within a team environment
- Proven ability to manage own work load with quickly changing and often conflicting priorities
Right to work unrestricted in the UK/EU
- UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
