First Hand Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineering Consultant to work for our management consultant client in Bath. They provide market leading advice and insight across clients in the Defence, Security, Government, Transportation & Energy industries. They combine their expertise in Systems Engineering and Programme Management.
The role will include:
- Playing a key role in the development of the company
- Supporting the development of the System Engineering capability across the business
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, will have experience of working in the defence industry and be looking for their first move.
Requirements for the Systems Engineer role:
- A knowledge of Systems Methodologies and Tools.
- A solid academic or vocational background equivalent to degree level. A relevant Engineering qualification is desirable.
- A confident person who functions well when working as part of a team and individually
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbally and orally)
- Experience in Solution Development - Identifying a range of options that have the potential to meet requirements.
- Experience in Requirements Definition - to include the identification and management of requirements, including conflict resolution, using Data gathering and stakeholder engagement techniques.
- Knowledge of Design Realisation and Validation - Integrating system components to realise the envisaged design and Verification that the system meets the agreed system requirements.
