About the job
An opportunity has arisen for a Shift Manager at East Leake Plant.
As Shift Manager the role is to provide leadership and direction to the shift teams, driving safety standards and behaviours and achieving optimum production performance across all areas of the manufacturing plant to meet business KPI's.
Job Accountabilities
Develop a 'behavioural safety' culture amongst the shift teams, targeting zero injuries.
An absolute commitment to your own safety and that of others, ensuring full compliance with standards and procedures.
Have an understanding of the business demand process, and ensure full schedule adherence across all production areas, understanding plant capability.
Demonstrated commitment to the Saint Gobain behaviours and values.
Develop a culture of engagement, commitment and flexibility across the shift teams.
Drive World Class Manufacturing methodology through the shift, developing team involvement in projects and coaching/developing wider use of World Class Manufacturing tools and techniques at operative level.
In conjunction with Production Manager, ensure plant performance targets are achieved
A commitment to learn and develop yourself.

For this role, it's essential that you have:
Supervisory management (accredited or professional qualification) & experience in managing production teams within a unionised environment. Safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH).It'd also be great if you:
Have experience in driving continuous improvement, ideally in a WCM/Lean environment, with experience in Autonomous Maintenance. Have a high level of numeracy and analytical skills. Are planned, organised and positively focussed in your day to day activities. Have the ability to maintain high standards of work while following identified standards and procedures. Are computer literate with experience of Word and Excel.What we can offer you
