We are looking for a Head of Projects to join our UK & Ireland Senior Management Team to deliver Offshore/Onshore Wind Projects in the UK. The Head of Projects will lead the integration of customer projects into the Service Business, according to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer/contractual requirements, with end to end responsibility for EHS, quality, schedule, and economic results. The role requires a strategic perspective, and demands both adherence to key Business KPI's and a strong customer focus to ensure repeatable project success. You must have previous experience gained from a leading multiple high value projects where you have delivered performance excellence and customer focus and be able to demonstrate strategic perspective and sound commercial experience. What are my responsibilities?

As Head of Projects you will lead the regional Integrated Project Team and are responsible and accountable for project implementation and adherence to strategies, policies, processes and methods (technically and commercially) for assigned wind farm projects including:

- Setting standards, expectations, guidelines and culture to achieve an incident and injury free project execution aligned to Siemens Zero harm policy
- Strategic leadership of Onshore/Offshore project integration from concept to commissioning through stakeholder engagement within sales process, previous lessons learned, latest operational efficiencies / service innovations and in alignment with business objectives and customer expectations
- Overarching governance of project life cycle / integration from concept to final acceptance ensuring regulatory and process compliance to project management standards.
- Acts as personal advisor to regional Senior Management, in all Project Management related issues.
- Strategic value-add partner for internal and external customer relationships, deploying an effective communication and escalation process to ensure contract requirements delivered and expectations are exceeded
- Regular reporting / updates to senior management advising of project progress. Advise of areas requiring escalation, decision for resolution
- Project portfolio financial performance to optimize gross profit, cash flow and project related assets. Effective management of project risk and opportunities, contract and claims
- Train, coach and develop Integrated Project Team members to drive excellence within the project start-up process, embracing Siemens company values and ethics
- Coordinates overall planning of projects and decides on allocation of resources.
- Support Sales team and wider business with technical / operational knowledge through bid process

What do I need to qualify for this role?

- Candidate should be degree educated with an MBA or similar Management level qualification
- Previous Project Management experience dealing with commercial and operational activities ideally within a Service environment.
- Experience managing and developingCustomer relationships.
- Product technical knowledge would be advantageous.
- Ability to Travel to various locations to support Projects in the UK
