This London based, highly successful Pharmaceutical company is seeking an Interim Category Manager for an initial 3 month contract for the procurement of Marketing services.
***** You must have experience of Marketing procurement within a Pharmaceutical environment *****
Primary activities for this position include:
- Category management and sourcing strategy for regional (in-country) Commercial (including Marketing), regional Medical Affairs (Including Medical Education) and other nominated categories where required (including Vehicle Fleet and IT which are centrally led / locally executed)
- The role will entail RFx development, competitive bid analysis, contract development / negotiations and strategic supplier management. Also responsible to optimise internal sourcing processes, work flows, and interfaces in an effort to reduce time of delivery and costs in support of corporate objectives and industry best practices
- The Sourcing Manager will create and implement a sourcing strategy for subcategory portfolios and will work on delivering cost reductions for spend areas such as creative and brand advertising agencies, digital, medical marketing, market research, and market access services. Resulting savings and added value will be recorded and reported to executive leadership
- This individual will lead the development and execution of strategies for significant sourcing transactions. They will provide project management oversight of the RFx process including but not limited to the development of the requirements, drafting RFP documents, facilitate internal business partner meetings, lead cross functional teams and vendor sessions, negotiating the terms and price with vendors
- In some cases, the Sourcing Manager will also manage and/or mentor less-experienced Sourcing professionals within their specific area of responsibility
- The Sourcing Manager will lead/conduct contract negotiations with suppliers and work with internal business partners to execute contracts that protect the interests of the company, while providing measurable business value that meets the needs of the Commercial organisation.The Sourcing Managerwill manage and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes for suppliers within the subcategories of responsibility while partnering closely with internal business partners to develop benchmarking goals & objectives
