Job Description A Commercial Gas Engineer is required to work on various retail outlet sites throughout the Midlands area. Work will mainly involve various PPM,Install and reactive breakdown work. This is a hand's on role and would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and must have a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required.
Main duties and responsibilities -
Undertaking Work on various commercial premises, along with reactive breakdown calls. Undertaking various other tasks as reasonably requested by your Line Manager, Supervisor or Engineer Coordinator.
Essential Qualifications
- COCN1 or CODNCO1 (Core Commercial Gas)
- CDGA1 (Commercial Direct Fired Gas Heating Appliances)
- CIGA1 (Commercial Indirect Fired Gas Heating Appliances)
- CORT1 (Commercial Overhead Radiant Plaque and Tube Heaters)
- ICPN1 (First Fix of Commercial Pipe Work up to 75mbar and 150mbar)
- TPCP1A (Testing and Purging Commercial Gas Installations (MOP to 40mbar)
- CPA1 (Flue Gas Analyser)
- Excellent gas knowledge complete with an industry recognised qualification
Desirable Qualifications
- Qualification in Building Services and familiarity of HVAC
Essential Experience
- Proven track record/work history of commercial gas servicing and breakdown repair
- Basic Electrical knowledge
- Good fault diagnostic skills
Desirable Experience
- Ability to identify and resolve breakdowns with general Building Services
Essential Personal Aptitudes and Skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Customer Focussed
- Willingness to work as part of a team or under own initiative
- Ability to liaise with client and actively resolve issues
- Provide accurate and detailed information so repair quotes can be formalised
