Lloyd Recruitment Services are assisting one of our longest standing clients, in their search for an experienced Parts Controller to work at their busy Welwyn Garden City site.
You will be reporting in to the Workshop Manager and help assist in the provision of vehicle parts and materials as required by Workshop and Body shop staff.
Brief List of Accountabilities:
- Receiving and actioning orders for parts, ensuring procedures and paperwork are followed according to current systems.
- Storing and ensuring items are kept in a good condition and are readily available for retrieval
- Maintaining stock levels, re-ordering when required using computerised systems
- Authorising the purchase of parts when necessary within delegated authority
- Ensuring all surcharges and returns are correctly administered and accounted for
- Undertake stock control/checks
- Source new suppliers to improve operational control
- Use of the Kerridge / ADP Autoline systems, including report functions
- Generate ideas to improve the Parts function
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm
- Friday 8am - 4pm
- Minimum of 1 Saturday p/month (7am-12pm) - Over Time (time plus half)
Ideally you will have experience of working within a motor vehicle parts department, within a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft applications, as well as basic understanding of H&S requirements.
Full driving and fork lift licence holders are essential, due to nature of the role.
