Electronic Equipment Repair Technician

Our client have a vacancy to join their team working on the bench in the workshop/Lab repairing faulty equipment. The equipment typically ranges from UPS, Power Inverters, and Power Supplies (SMP's) to Micro Processor Based Circuit Boards, Datacom such Cisco, Nortel, 3com, etc., and various other Electronic Devices. This is component level work requiring debug knowledge, expertise and strong rework skills and experience.

This is an immediate, full-time, permanent position, the successful candidate needs to be an experienced Electronics Technician with:-

- Excellent soldering skills.
- Have solid skills in Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Excel and Word
- Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in group settings
- Be well organised and able to multi-task
- Have experience using electronic test equipment, small hand tools
- Be able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets and written work instructions
- Having prior training and experience testing and repair of Power Supply, UPS or networking equipment.

The ideal candidate should have Skills and Experience in some of the following:-

- Have a natural talent for repairing electronic equipment to component level
- Qualified in Electronic/Electrical Engineering
- Have specific knowledge at component level in the repair of Power Supplies, {SMP's} Inverters and general Analog Electronic Circuitry and/or Datacom Cisco, Nortel
- Have expertise in Electronic Circuit Board component level debug combined with high quality rework/repair {to IPC standard}
