Wise Employment have a fantastic opening for an experienced Welder to join a leading Company in the Motability sector.
An exciting permanent opportunity located within Newbury to provide support to the production team and report into the Production Supervisor to work together and efficiently meet the production plan.
You will be working Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm & Friday 7am-1pm on a 40 hour week.
Starting salary of GBP19,500 pa increasing to GBP20,000 pa after probation period.
Key responsibilities with include:
- Welding mild steel components using the MIG process to include component manufacture and fitting/welding components to vehicles
- Cutting and removing materials and preventative substances (wax, etc), including original metal flooring and associated components from base vehicle
- Cutting and preparation of materials prior to welding
- Component assemble - sub assembly - fitting
- Undersealing and paint spraying etc
- Removal and refitting of external and internal parts / components
- Modification and fitment of fuel, exhaust, brake pipe systems
- Use of power tools and equipment where required
- Housekeeping of work area
- Efficient working methods in order to maximise use of time
- Observe all relevant Health & Safety procedures
Skills & Experienced required:
- MIG Welding experience essential
- Experience and/or interest in vehicles / mechanics / electrics would be an advantage
- Ideally will have experience with using hand power tools
