Salary: £36,019- £38,789 per annum (pay award pending)

Our Client is a council situated on the edge of the Peak District and provides an attractive place in which to live and work.

To meet the challenges ahead they are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join their team.

The principal areas of responsibility will include capital accounting and maintaining the Council's fixed asset system, treasury management, assisting with the production of the Statement of Accounts, providing financial advice and support to a number of services and managing a team responsible for areas such as insurance, risk management and VAT.

You must be a CCAB qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience. In addition experience of Capital and Treasury accounting within local government finance is essential.

As well as being an experienced accountant, you must also be an effective team leader with the ability to motivate your team in a changing environment to meet targets, demonstrate continuous improvement and deliver a customer focussed service.
