Despatch Controller / Dispatch Operative / Warehouse Assistant

Job Title: Despatch Controller

Location: Old Sarum, Salisbury

Salary: Competitive

Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Our client has a vacancy in their busy Despatch Department at their Operations facility at Old Sarum. The role involves taking full responsibility for all aspects relating to order fulfilment.

Job Role:

Main duties will include:

• Ensuring the correct product is shipped to customers on-time
• Maintaining accuracy of stocks
• Packing & checking consignments prior to despatch
• Liaising with carriers
• Liaising with Sales at Head Office
• Undertaking additional tasks as may reasonably be required within Operations.
• Non-Smoker

The Candidate:

The successful applicant needs to be dynamic, hands-on, and capable of working under pressure whilst remaining calm, with strong skills in problem solving and communication.

They must be IT literate with an eye for accuracy and detail, be numerate, possess good English, and have a full clean driving licence.

Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be given.

Applicants would be based locally and should possess their own transport.
