The Role
You`re bright, motivated and you love the fashion industry.
You`ve got strong skills. You know how to get into the mind of users and audiences, you can analyse and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data, and you can quickly get to the heart of user's needs, desires, frustrations, hopes and dreams and work with the rest of the team to produce solutions.
Student Engagement Officers at Mastered are the voice of top fashion talent around the globe, representing that voice internally. They have a deep knowledge of how to develop relationships, understanding people on a personal level. And they`re able to relentlessly `pitch` solutions, improvements and new features to your team.
We practice "learning by doing" - the Student Engagement Officer manages the classroom to ensure that students are engaged and they are completing their work, so that they reach the goals they`re looking for. A win for the student and a win for Mastered!
What you will be doing
Understanding talent. You will uncover what the professionals want from the program, both in terms of content and also in terms of their own specific goals. You have an ability to relate to people quickly, and you're fascinated by understanding them and working with them to help them meet their goals.
Managing talent. You will manage the professional`s experience of the program. You will track everything, so you know who is logging in, who is completing their briefs, who is happy, who is less happy. Student Engagement Officers are the point person for the professional`s experience, and they make sure that the professional gets the best from the program.
Developing talent. Student Engagement Officers understand the students individually, and they hold them to account on what they want to achieve. You work closely with the coach to provide specific help for the students, or suggest and create content or expertise that you know will help the professionals. You will ensure that the professional is getting proper feedback, coaching and opportunities.
Required experience and skills
To be a success as a Student Engagement Officer you must be passionate about what you do, have a strong work ethic, and be excited by the idea of working with talent from every country in the world. From Australia to Zimbabwe and Belize to Uganda and the USA, we mean it when we say we work with fashion talent globally.
You`ll definitely need deep knowledge of the industry. You`ll also have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations. We`re looking for eager, optimistic individuals who are willing to put themselves out there and don`t take "no" for an answer.
Your passion in life is to help people reach their potential. You can't help but give support, advice and coaching, it comes naturally to you.
You are someone who reads extensively about development. You probably have a large library of personal development books, watch Ted talks, attend seminars and you're always looking to deepen your understanding in this area.
Expert domain knowledge of the fashion industry (Photography, Nails, Hair, Accessories, Designers, Make-up, Styling, Art Direction etc ).
Experience of working with KPIs, metrics and data.
