We have a new exciting opportunity at Ashton Sixth Form College for Head of IT and Learning Resources to join the team based in Ashton-under-Lyne. The successful candidates will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 36 hours per week and will receive a competitive salary of £33,429 - £35,962 per annum.

Head of IT and Learning Resources

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self-motivated professional to join the IT & Learning Resources department which serves both the 16-19 and Higher Education and Skills provisions within the College.

Key Responsibilities of our Head of IT and Learning Resources

You will be responsible for taking a strategic lead on the delivery of high quality student focused support to facilitate independent learning and the use of ICT as set out in the College’s ILT Strategy. They will also take responsibility for managing and developing IT and Learning Resources and their services, to meet the needs of students and staff.

You will lead on the development of a technology enhanced learning environment to achieve and support the college goals and objectives and will work proactively will curriculum staff to explore potential developments in technology that subsequently will enhance the learner experience and support outstanding teaching and learning.

What we’re looking for in our Head of IT and Learning Resources

The successful candidate would ideally have a degree, Management qualification or equivalent recent relevant experience in ICT and librarianship or an information related subject by the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals (CILIP).
