Reporting to the Retail Finance Manager, working within the Retail Financial Support team and other areas of finance, you will help shape the financial direction of Santander and ensure that shareholder value is maximised.
The Finance Analyst will be responsible for helping to co-ordinate cross Retail Financial Support (RFS) deliverables, maintaining and controlling our key data sources, producing RFS consolidated analysis and reporting (with a focus on transfer pricing and funding) along with developing and promoting a good understanding of the RFS Corporate Centre.
The Finance Analyst is expected to work across multiple functions (including risk, business units and other finance teams).
In addition, the Finance Analyst will be seen as the primary contact within the Finance Team for the areas they look after and will be seen as leading Finance's interaction within RFS with other finance teams.

As a Finance Analyst, your main responsibilities will be
Provide technical support and assistance to the business in Finance, responding to all customer queries using established processes and procedures, escalating more complex queries
Deliver small-scale projects or well defined tasks on larger projects to improve support to the business
Establish relationships with customers to identify requirements and provide appropriate support
Co-ordination, consolidation and review of Retail business plans for your areas.
Produce key reports for Stakeholders explaining business performance and emerging trends
Ensure the relevant Retail disclosures are reported in the various external documents (QMS / 20F etc.)
Report accurate and reconciled monthly results
Complete all SOX and AORP requirements and liaise with PWC on audit related matters
What we'll be looking for in you
CIMA \ ACCA qualified or other relevant professional qualification (or studying towards) or significant experience in working in a Retail banking finance environment
Proven experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships within and outside of Finance through personal credibility and delivery of results
Sound financial services/broad business knowledge
Ability to interpret and evaluate financial information and make authoritative recommendations
Highly numerate with proven analytical experience
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills
Experience of people management, including performance management and application of HR policy
