Our client has identified an excellent opportunity for an ICT Business Support Officer to join their growing force. They will be responsible and accountable for the investigation and analysis of systems, activities and processes, looking to make them more efficient through the use of technology and acting as a change agent to help facilitate effective projects, by developing project mandates, business cases, feasibility studies and options appraisals.
The successful candidate will run, administer and organise all project activities in cooperation with
and under the direction of the Service Project Manager, aiming at the flawless project execution.
The role
As ICT Business Support Officer, your duties will include:
• Investigating and analysing systems, activities and processes, looking to make them more efficient through the use of technology.
• Functioning in a liaison capacity, analyse and translate the varying requirements of all NFRS departments into system deployments or business process changes.
• Acting as a change agent to help facilitate effective projects, by developing project mandates, business cases, and feasibility studies and options appraisals.
• Running, administering and organising all project activities in cooperation with and under the direction of the Service Project Manager.
• Supporting the Head of ICT in developing and maintaining an ICT strategy which both complements and contributes towards the NFRS business plans and IRMP.
Who are we looking for
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
• Prince 2 and/or ITIL Foundation Certification and a Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent qualification
• Experience of user liaison and support in an ICT context is essential
• Good understanding of a broad range of business technologies and good working knowledge of Microsoft business products
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of SQL databases, business automation, data migration solutions and issues and data protection/security
• A current driving licence and able to use own vehicle to travel as required
