Assistant Chef Manager

This independently owned contract catering company is looking for a dynamic, strong, friendly Chef to work at their site in Southampton.

Your role will include:

- Providing a full catering service to 65 vulnerable adults per day, with some special dietary requirements.
- Be responsible for managing and delivering an excellent catering service
- In the absence of the Catering Manager ensure the team provide great food and excellent customer service.
- Helping to control a tight budget through efficient purchasing and food waste control.

Ideally you will have the following Qualifications & Experience

- City and Guilds 706/2 or equivalent NVQ.
- Previous experience within a hostel environment and working with vulnerable adults
- Excellent cooking skills in both presentation and taste.
- A passion for fresh food, an eye for detail is key.
- Excellent customer service in what can sometimes be a challenging environment

This position will be a full time 52 week contract, working 38 hours per week - on a rolling roster that includes alternative weekends and bank holidays.

Full uniform and induction training will be provided. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check of which the company will cover.
