Seabank Power Limited owns and operates a 1140MW power station located in Avonmouth, Bristol
The following role is now available within our Engineering Department: Control and Instrumentation Technician
Salary: £42k + bonus + overtime + excellent benefits + relocation if appropriate
The Role
Familiar with process instrumentation and control systems, your duties will include:-
- Work scheduling and reporting using a computerised maintenance management system.
- Routine maintenance, repair and installation of field devices, including pressure, level, temperature, flow and analytical instrumentation.
- Maintenance and modification of process control equipments including PLC's.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to ensure plant availability.
- Management of contracts and supervision of contractors.
- Design, implementation and development of plant improvement projects.
The Person
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of industrial process control and instrumentation systems. Applicants will be able to demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills, be self motivated and have experience of managing projects to achieve continuous improvement.
Other attributes to include:
- Relevant experience in the duties described.
- A relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship/City &Guilds /Ordinary or Higher National Certificate /Degree).
- A sound engineering approach.
- Able to work flexibly and on own initiative.
- Strong inter-personal skills.
- Demonstrate tenacity and resourcefulness in a challenging technical environment.
