About the role:
NG Bailey are currently seeking a Senior Buyer to be based at our Bristol offices, to lead and manage all procurement activities, providing specialist procurement expertise across the function. The Senior Buyer will formulate, implement and manage the procurement strategies for tenders and live projects and working closely with all other parts of the business to meet organisational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a procurement lead on projects and ensure a procurement strategy is produced and adhered to on every tender and live project
- Produce procurement schedules and keep up to date and carry out or delegate tasks as a member of the project team
- The role may include management and mentoring of junior team members
- Support tendering teams with up to date procurement data, expertise and advice
- Supplier management / performance including recording, providing feedback, implementing improvement plans and monitor
- Work with Sourcing Managers to contribute to and support source plans
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and guidelines
- Maintain savings on a monthly basis in accordance with the business processes
- Produce monthly reports for the procurement dashboard, record and monitor action / improvements plans to enhance results
About you:
- Proven experience within a Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager position within an M&E/ manufacturing/ engineering business
- Proven leadership skills, ability to manage and develop a small team
- Experience of procurement delivery across large scale projects
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
