Information Assurance Consultant

My client is a global Engineering company that has always been renowned for its innovative engineering. Providing global services to the defence, nuclear, aerospace, transport, power and energy. They are currently recruiting for an information assurance consultant to compliment the delivery of technical consulting within a range of clients.

The Information Assurance Consultant will be required to provide best practice Information Assurance advice and consultancy to a range of organisations including commercial and public. This will involve advising clients on the management and mitigation of the risks associated with the handling of information within and across communication and information systems as well as the enterprise level. You will be working as part of an expert team offering top level advice into key programmes.

To be suitable for the information assurance consultant post candidates will have very strong communication and interpersonal skills and be experienced in leading technical IA projects and teams (project management) Candidates will have knowledge and practical experience of relevant standards, technologies and industry trends applicable to Information Security, including some or all:
Risk management and assessment methodologies
Vulnerability assessment
Management of Security Incidents
Information Assurance and Accreditation Policies and standards
Security policies and procedures
System accreditation

HMGs (&MoD) Methodologies, guidelines and principles
RMADS/ IA S1&2/ CPNI/ SPF/ MPS+
Although not essential, any of the following qualifications would be of advantageous, and a necessity for the more senior posts available, CCP- CLAS, CISSP, CISM, CISA.
