York - up to GBP35,000 + benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Front End Developer to join one of the UK's leading directory solutions providers based in York. In this role you will be responsible for developing a brand new website, providing development and design across the full project life cycle. You will also be working on a range of E-commerce projects, implementing an online transaction system across multiple platforms including mobiles. As the Front End Developer you will be trained up in a variety of brand new exciting technologies which will enhance your current skill set.

As the Front End Developer you will have a theoretical and/or some commercial experience with Front End technologies such as HTML, CSS or JavaScript as well as artwork manipulation technologies like Photoshop or similar. Some experience in PHP is also essential to the position. The End Developer will ideally have an understanding of SQL, C# .net, JSON, MVC and XML but this is not essential. Any experience of mobile development and Agile is also highly desirable.

Front End Developer Key Skills:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

  • PHP (version 5 desirable)
  • Artwork manipulation (Photoshop or similar)
  • Understanding of JSON and XML.
