New Business Sales Executive - Legal
Based in a thriving, busy part of central London, this dynamic publishing house produces a niche range of prestigious reference books & reports for the international Legal community.
As a result of business expansion, the sales team is currently looking to recruit an additional bright, commercially focused sales executive to work on one its flagship titles.
Most of the sales activity is telephone based BUT the emphasis is very much on Quality calls rather than quantity of calls
The Sales Executive will be selling to/account managing with international law firms.
He or she will be expected to deliver revenue targets across specific titles and jurisdictions.
-Demonstrable sales experience, ideally in business to business sales
-A good understanding of the sales process from start to finish
-Enthusiastic, self motivated and passion for winning
-The ability to manage a pipeline of your own prospects, achieving target and other KPI’s
Role also involves a lot of research. Hence the emphasis on quality calls over quantity. The knowledge gained from your research is essential in order to understand your clients, the market and the publication you are working on.
Ideally graduate level education/calibre you need to be a self-starter with lots of energy who can work autonomously and as part of a team. You need to be articulate, with clear diction and comfortable with making high level intelligent business development calls as well as face to face meetings.
Experience of working closely with senior level execs is preferred, but is not essential. Ideally you will have 3 years + B2B sales experience – if it’s in the legal world that would be a bonus but not essential.
Because of the international dimension of this role, foreign languages esp French OR Spanish are useful but again not essential in this instance
There will be some international travel included with this role.
In return for your sales prowess you can expect to be rewarded with a very attractive salary package which includes a very competitive base of £25k to £35K base + 50% commission (uncapped) in your first year.
