Waste Collection Loader key responsibilities:
- Assisting the driver with the safe loading and unloading of waste.
- Undertaking the role of reverse assistance, to ensure vehicle manoeuvres are undertaken in a safe manner.
- Providing support to the driver in relation to carrying out daily workload.
- Developing and maintaining good relations with customers and staff.
- Adhering to legal requirements regarding hours, highway regulations, permits and legislation indicated by line management.
- Ensuring security of vehicles, people, plant and equipment.
- Receiving instructions from the Traffic Office regarding jobs to be done and carry them out efficiently in accordance with the appropriate legislation.
- Passing to the Traffic Office any factors affecting operations.
- Completing work tickets for customers requiring them, ensuring that the necessary information is recorded fully and legibly.
- Submitting all documents daily to the Traffic Office.
- Completing daily timesheets of work carried out and enter legibly and fully all the information required.
- Thorough knowledge of current legislation of LGV vehicles
- Ability to follow and carry out management instructions
- Excellent communication skills
