Human Resources Manager

Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced HR professional to help us change the culture of the organisation. The right candidate will contribute to new ways of working whilst ensuring new and existing employees at all levels of the business are embracing the change.

The HR Manager's role will work closely with the HR & Finance Director to deliver high employee satisfaction, appropriate development and reward for individuals, whilst balancing the company strategy and targets

Responsibilities:

As HR Manager you can expect to be involved in a senior position with responsibility for;

  • Leading and directing the human resource team to deliver comprehensive HR service to the business
  • Recruitment and retention: managing talent and succession planning: taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns; building a recruitment plan in conjunction with planned company growth
  • Establishing a recruiting, testing and interview program; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analysing exit interviews; recommending changes
  • Building relationships with external agencies to manage recruitment of niche requirements and to keep abreast of the market place and any challenges
  • Policy and procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes
  • Performance management; coaching managers on performance management issues and processes
  • Learning and development; providing guidance on development for managers and their teams
  • Training; Implementing the training and development agenda; identifying areas that need attention and improvement
  • Employee relations, including managing absence, disciplinary, grievances and sickness
  • Measuring Employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement
  • Managing immigration compliance with the Home Office and HR Director; ensuring all documents and processes are adhered too
  • Ensuring our organisation are living and promoting our company culture and goals
  • Working with senior managers, coaching them and advising on all people issues
  • Managing the HR budget with the HR Director

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will have the following skills and qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles
  • Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team member
  • Experience of dealing with senior and often challenging individuals
  • Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture
  • Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development
  • Demonstrate experience of planning and implementation of a substantial recruitment plan
  • Experience of change culture
  • Show a professional and commercial approach to HR
  • Must have previous experience of immigration and Tier 2 VISA processes and compliance
  • Strong understanding of employment law
  • Good understanding of the contractor/permanent market place
  • Desirable to of worked in the technology industry - in particular with telecommunications
  • Have a CIPD or equivalent qualification
