Due to expansion and growth, our client has identified the opportunity for an experienced Operations Controller.
The company currently operates a large fleet of LGV Vehicles with maintenance workshops over four separate sites and several depots around the country. Because of this, the role will involve some travel between depots.
The role
As Operations Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
• Co-ordinating the recruitment and retention of drivers across the fleet
• Co-ordinating the management of absence and holidays for all drivers
• Working in conjunction with the Driver Training Team on driver performance improvement
• Understanding and dealing with any driver welfare issues
• Keeping abreast of incidents and accidents and liaising with HR
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications to hit the ground running:
• A working understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Tachograph Legislation
• Previous experience in a similar role within a Transport environment
• LGV (C+E) drivers licence desirable although not essential
• International CPC qualification would be a strong advantage
