Electrical Project Engineer / Controls Project Engineer / Controls Maintenance Engineer / Automation Project Engineer required for an exciting opportunity with my client who are a leader in turnkey robotic materials handling solutions. This role is to be based within the Proposals team and is a blend of technical and commercial skills.
This is a key role within the business, you will be working in a team to develop electrical controls and robot solutions for materials handling projects predominantly in the food industry.
The majority of the projects are for leading multinational food manufacturers who are household names as well as some for 1st tier automotive suppliers.
The business has an excellent reputation for being able to design innovative solutions mainly based around robotic palletising and centralised palletising.

Responsibilities and Accountability:
- Technical and commercial evaluation of sales enquiries, ensuring that all relevant information is available.
- Work with Controls Engineering team to develop the electrical and controls part of the proposed solution
- Support the prioritisation and allocation of the sales enquiry to relevant members of the proposals team with clear instructions and objectives.
- Preparation of proposal drawings, tender documents and estimate sheets in accordance with the appropriate standards and customer requirements, and within agreed submission dates.
- Contribute and / or convene technical reviews to assess nominated proposals or associated aspects, where required.
- Work closely with Design and Projects team to identify discrepancies and issues with final costs and designs against original estimated costs; and action accordingly to prevent future re-occurrences.
- Review and advise in respect of any contracts and associated specifications submitted with new tender documents or orders.
- Prepare and undertake presentations to customers on both a general and project specific basis.
- Support customer negotiations both commercially and contractually.
- On receipt of an order, arrange internal sales hand over meetings with all relevant disciplines, and with the support of the relevant members of the sales / proposals team. Ensure a smooth transfer of background information and project related details; and maintain an awareness of subsequent progress of the project, providing further support or guidance where required
