Supply Chain Director - Actuation and Control

Carbon60 are seeking a Supply Chain Director to lead all Supply Chain activities for the function. You will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish company goals. Required to direct and oversee Materials planning/ Forecasting, Procurement, Inventory, Shipping and Receiving. Develops policies, procedures, work instructions, and implementation of modern purchasing/ planning approaches.

Requirements of the Role:

?? You will develop and execute Supply Chain strategy, with an emphasis on quality, price, delivery and service, in support of my clients Control organisation.
?? Tasked in being responsible for the functional management of all purchases across the Operating Company sites and business sectors.
?? Required to analyse, forecast and control inventory purchases to maximise utilisation, minimise excess and reduce material cost.
?? Develop and execute a robust supplier performance improvement program deliver improved OTIF results from the supply chain.
?? You will develop and execute robust Inventory management processes and measures.
?? Working with Supplier Quality, champion strategic sourcing process, with appropriate evaluation, negotiation and contract management, based on best value to drive lowest total cost of acquisition and improve material availability and quality.
?? As the Supply Chain Director you will accountable for the development and maintenance of department policies, procedures and work instructions, to optimise productivity and execution of activities.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities.

?? Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline (or qualified to an equivalent level)/ or equivalent experience.
?? A minimum of 8 years of experience in a supply chain position, that includes:
?? All disciplines of the supply chain preferred but must include planning and procurement.
?? Aerospace/ Engineering/ Manufacturing experience preferred.
?? Must have a process improvement background with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other methodology.
?? Possess great leadership skills with an interpersonal style that will reflect positively on the Company and team. A bias for action and sense of urgency
?? Must be able to think strategically and develop and implement business strategies and also have the ability to execute with tactical plans
?? Track record of accomplishing assignments on time. Must be a highly organised and self-motivated individual who can manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Must be able to adapt to changing situations
?? Willingness and ability to travel to such places (whether in or outside the United Kingdom) by such means and on such occasions as the Company may require, from time to time.
?? Computer skills including Microsoft Office and business/ planning systems.
