We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our HR team.  This will be a field based role with a likely office base from one of our sites in the Manchester area but to be defined.  Reporting into the Senior VP of HR our HR Business Partner will have line accountability for one direct report and will work closely with RM’s and other Senior Leaders and Line Managers across our cinema sites.   The HR Business Partner will ensure that effective and proactive people management practices are delivered effectively and consistently, delivering services across the full employee lifecycle.  The HR Business Partner role will involve extensive UK travel.

HR Business Partner – Key Responsibilities

- Establish a sound understanding of business plans and challenges and influence the outcomes

- Develop people plans across the business to proactively develop the business and improve engagement

- Use HR statistics to inform decision making regarding all HR activities and influences these statistics

 - Responsible for supporting recruitment activity with tools, processes and techniques to ensure that both legislation and business needs are met

- Create clear attraction strategy where the need dictates

- Coaching Line Managers & decision makers to ensure that they are able to make clear and effective recruitment decisions and HR decisions

- Ensuring that all paperwork relating to recruitment activity meets best practice standards

- Overseeing the annual appraisal process to ensure that consistency is achieved across the region

- Working closely with Line Managers to understand team performance and create effective performance plans for managers to follow

- Ensuring that General Managers are able to consistently address performance problems and reach resolutions within reasonable timescales

- Embed effective recognition practices within the region to ensure that employees are motivated and inspired to go the extra mile

- Manage complex and high risk cases in line with case management approach

- Establishing reporting processes, such as right to work, where relevant and in the absence of support visits

- Manage the launch and ongoing communications of key HR initiatives and key HR messages within areas of responsibility

- Take responsibility for any relevant HR projects within the employee lifecycle and work closely with the team to ensure that an effective strategy is in place to meet business needs 

 

HR Business Partner – Key Skills/Experience

- Significant Business Partner/Advisor/Executive experience required in a retail, leisure or hospitality industry

- Experience in delivering HR Services across a multi-site environment

- Change management experience including handling or redundancy cases

- Degree educated (CIPD desirable)

- Previous proven experience in a field based role is essential for the role

- High levels of stakeholder management experience and ability with work in confidence

- Current UK driving licence held
