Mid - Senior Interior Designer
Cream & Black are an award winning Interior Design Company and due to our continued success we are looking to bring on board a committed and motivated Mid - Senior Interior Designer.
You will need to be blessed with extraordinary creativity and a rationale thought process and this opportunity will be best suited to an individual who is well organised, honest and driven. You will be a supporting team member in a small yet proactive team where working together to achieve deadlines is key to the culture of our company.
YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience ideally in high end residential design projects.
• Confident client-facing skills, the ability to present and lead projects.
• To co-ordinate and assist the Interior Design team with all aspects of projects.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent design and spatial planning skills.
• Competence in Autocad, Photoshop, Revit, Sketchup and Microsoft office.
• Conduction of site surveys and visits.
• Excellent knowledge of design detailing and specifications.
• Conceptual design skills to present to clients in a number of mediums / formats.
• The understanding of design deliverables and schedules.
• Ability to run projects from initial brief through to completion.
• Presenting skills of design briefs and concepts to the clients
• Production of detailing drawing packages and FF&E schedules.
• Liaising with clients and contractors.
• Excellent knowledge of fabrics, materials and finishes and the confidence to create complete schemes.
• Knowledge of suppliers, manufacturers and craftsmen.
• To represent the company and to liaise with members of the external design team.
YOU WILL NEED TO:
• Hold an industry recognised Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture;
• Able to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion;
• Able to manage and prioritise tasks and time efficiently;
• Able to work as a team with other designers;
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A full UK driving licence and own transport will be necessary for this position due to the location of the office.
