Who we're looking for

PwC is looking for an established, creative manager level candidate to join the Marketing function within its internal Sales & Marketing Team (SMT). The Marketing function is responsible for driving high-impact marketing campaigns that support the growth strategy of PwC and respond to market opportunities.

This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the firm's marketing campaigns for Deals Transactions, comprising Transaction Services and Corporate Finance. Candidates must possess excellent influencing and good communication skills in order to be credible, and also need to demonstrate that they are able to constructively challenge stakeholders. Commercial acumen is a must and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good understanding of the strategic business drivers for PwC.

The successful candidate will also be creative and innovative and be able to effectively communicate key business messages to a diverse audience internally as well as externally. Excellent project management skills are required, as is a track record in marketing programme delivery within a digital environment.

About the role

SMT is a centralised support function and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. The prime area of focus for the function is to support the development and implementation of the firm's market strategy and in particular to deliver:


Revenue growth
Enhanced relationships and networks
A distinctive brand experience


The PwC strategy is designed to provide a sharper focus on market issues in order to prioritise growth opportunities and align our resources to deliver them.

Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for managing multiple elements of Deals Transactions marketing campaigns across a number of industry sectors and key business initiatives, and is accountable for ensuring that quality and brand standards are upheld. The jobholder will report to a senior marketing manager in Deals Transactions & Private Equity.

In this role, the successful candidate will:


Contribute to the development and manage the delivery of market facing campaigns across multiple channels with a particular focus on the buyers' agenda.
Provide expert advice on the most appropriate approach, content and channel mix to deliver campaigns. Expertise in social media (paid and organic) is required.
Monitor short and long-term ROI measures and take responsibility for the delivery and evaluation of ROI on these programmes, including recording and passing leads to business development /the business.
Proactively seek new channels to market and innovate to engage with buyer communities in different ways.
Work with key stakeholders and the online team to help maintain, develop, refresh and improve our web presence.
Work effectively with other parts of the marketing, communications and business development functions.
Proactively share insight and knowledge with team members and more broadly across the Marketing capability.
Bring curiosity and challenge to enable continuous improvement.
Adhere to quality standards throughout and ensure service levels are maintained consistently.
Support the team leader/senior managers to establish a best in class team and address poor performance as needed.
Would take the role of people manager if required.


Requirements:


Graduate calibre with a strong understanding of marketing programmes and channel management, ideally with a professional marketing qualification.
A proven track record in the delivery of large scale B2B multi-channel marketing campaigns or sponsorships.
Able to contribute to strategic plans and implement tactical initiatives, ensuring they are aligned to commercial objectives.
Strong knowledge of new and traditional marketing channels; experience of digital marketing would be a distinct advantage.
Able to adopt a creative and innovative approach.
Good communicator with ability to influence and flex style when working with a variety of stakeholders.
Proactive with a positive 'can do' approach, and an ability to use initiative and multi-task.
Good people management and development skills
Self-starter but able to work effectively as part of a team.
Sufficient business acumen to understand business drivers behind marketing activity, as well as being commercially and risk aware.
