Job Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include selection and specification of materials and processes involved in the design and manufacture of parts. Knowledge and interest in at least three of following areas for Aerospace applications is required:
??? Fabrication by Welding and/or Brazing
??? Heat Treatment
??? Castings/Forgings
??? Chemical Processing
??? Non-destructive Testing
??? Mechanical Testing
??? Composites
??? Polymers / elastomers
??? Adhesives
Candidate will be responsible for Design and Applications Engineering, Value Engineering and Supplier Transition requirements, including serving as a Principal Investigator in concurrent Design: defining manufacturing process approval requirements, product testing and design qualification for aerospace applications.
Responsibilities also include driving specification evolution from locally-owned process specifications towards global Honeywell standards and significant supplier technical support for components with special processes, conducting maintenance audits to ensure specification and process compliance, support determination of Root Cause and Corrective Action associated with process escapes, and identification of manufacturability improvement opportunities and cost reduction.
Significant stakeholder management and ownership of project milestones will be expected, including key customer relationship maintenance with Honeywell Engineering (Design, Quality and Advanced Manufacturing) and Supply Chain personnel (Sourcing), as well as the entire supply base.

Skills/Experience/Education Required:
- A minimum of a Degree or HND in Materials Science or Metallurgy or similar
- Experience in a materials design and/or process engineering role is preferred.
- Experience working in any manufacturing process, e.g. writing specifications, developing process parameters, trouble shooting or auditing process control and compliance would be beneficial.
- Experience in the aerospace industry or with a supplier to aerospace industry preferred. The job involves knowledge of aerospace materials specifications and the manufacturing processes used to make the part. Experience with NADCAP and AMS specification requirements is desirable.
- In-Depth knowledge of and experience with Aerospace Materials Processes, Process Selection, Specification and Applications.
