Are you creative and committed to using your skills to make a difference? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to develop plans and deliver against an ambitious fundraising strategy? Due to expansion, our client is looking for a Director of Fundraising and Communications to join them.

Our client is a vibrant London wide charity supporting adults and children in crisis. They empower people across their communities to realise their potential, reach their aspirations and live fulfilling and independent lives.

This position offers you the opportunity to lead a newly integrated fundraising and communications team. You will think and work creatively to develop successful fundraising initiatives that will increase the fundraised income required to meet financial commitments. You will also develop and implement innovative media and communications plans that will support their fundraising goals and help to raise the public profile of the organisation more widely.

Person specification:

  • Experience of significant successful fundraising
  • Track record of leadership and management at a senior level
  • Extensive specialist knowledge of fundraising including individual giving, major donors and trust fundraising
  • Track record ambitious growth plans across a multi-disciplinary team and challenging and inspiring teams to deliver them
  • Strong track record of representing an organisation in a broad range of environments and contexts
  • Strong experience of financial management, budgeting and business planning
  • Understanding charity law and regulation and how they relate to fundraising
  • Senior management experience of marketing and communications
