Based in Burgess Hill, this leader in creative interior demountable glass partitions, glazed doors, modular walls and architectural glazing solutions is looking to recruit a Sales Assistant to work within their Southern Team.
As Sales Assistant you will provide administrative and sales support to the commercial and sales departments, and will be responsible for generating enquiries via the telephone and Lead Generation Websites.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist the Sales Co-ordination Manager to manage the enquiry process and assist with the preparation of sales enquiries in the requisite format.
- Generate enquiries via the telephone and Lead Generation Websites. Approximately three-quarters of working time will be spent on the telephone in order to generate and follow up on sales leads.
- Provide day to day administrative and sales support to the Business Development Managers and Sales Teams.
- Develop technical skills, as required, to ensure adequate support of all necessary activities including Database management, internet searching and use, and spreadsheet input.
- Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software
- Develop and maintain filing systems as required and routine filing of the paperwork.
- Work with limited supervision and be able to meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate a commitment to own personal development within the post.
- Any other duty that is deemed necessary from time to time.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A personable, outgoing and persuasive approach
- The ability to build a rapport with Customers
- Good organisational skills
- Efficient and well organised
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Self-motivated and an ability to exercise initiative and work independently
- Computer literacy (MS Office Package, Excel and Word)

Qualifications Required:
- GCSE English (or equivalent)
- GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
- Advanced IT skills

- 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Friday.
