Training Coordinator
The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Training Coordinator for a contract within Surrey
Please not this position will require regular trips into Angola & require working 14x4 day rotations when required
The Angola Operations Training Simulator Trainer will be hosted in the Petro-technical Academy team, reporting to the Engineering Learning Director and the central OTS Programme Manager. The main purpose of this position is to administer the simulator training to Angola Control Room Technician (CRTs) personnel in the UK & Angola and help maximise safety/optimization/reliability of production systems, and assist in the delivery of the Operating Management System (OMS) 2.2 People and Competence requirements for offshore staff.
Key tasks:
Administers the simulator training to Angola CRT personnel.
Assist in the development in the Angola training plans and curriculum.
Helps determine and manage semi-annual refresher training topics in conjunction with the Region Learning Mananger and OTS Programme Manager.
Responsible for getting all current CRTs through the training and assessment process.
Assist with simulator updates and additions, including checkout, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) - ensuring that they match the assets to sufficient quality.
Experience
Strong Control Room Technician (CRT) experience.
Experience in oil & gas, refining or petrochemical industry.
Demonstrated Leadership skills.
Strong health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance record.
Demonstrated technical expertise in multiple disciplines such as operations and engineering.
The ability to effectively manage priorities while working with various cross-organisation teams and groups.
Experienced in all aspects of oil and gas operations, including separation, compression, treatment, integrated control & safety systems and export pipeline systems.
Experienced in simultaneous operations involving production, well maintenance, and construction activities.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence others.
Requirements
Demonstrated leadership skills and technical expertise in multiple disciplines.
Advanced working knowledge of pumps, compressors, cranes, dehydration systems, separation systems, control systems, chemical and corrosion mitigation systems, fire-fighting systems, BOSIET, BOEMR and USCG type regulations (or equivalent).
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to travel and work needed rotational assignment of 14 days on and 14 days off as and when deemed necessary for role.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferable skills/experience
Technical degree or equivalent operational experience.
Competency Management Assurance System assessor & verifier.
Learning Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Recognized for technical ability and expertise.
