The Company
You will play an integral role in this Tier I Automotive and Motor Sport manufacturer's R&D function, performing internal new product testing and reporting to the design and technical teams. Fully utilising your Mechanical Engineering background within an innovative and progressive organisation to help bring exciting designs into production.
Job Responsibilities
- To work closely with the Design & Technical teams to ensure new products/projects are delivered on time and in budget.
- To work with the Prototype Engineer during customer vehicle fit outs.
- Be a key member of the R&D team responsible for bringing innovative, cost-effective products to market.
- To work with the Quality team to ensure all new/existing products meet regulatory/ customer & internal test requirements.
- To perform internal Product testing and produce associated reports.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent communication both written and verbal.
- Able to work effectively in a team ensuring that the best outcome for the company is achieved.
- The ability to manage multiple projects at once & deliver them on time
- Have a keen attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Be able to work to very tight deadlines, sometimes working until the design is complete to enable same day turnaround for key customers. Having a can-do attitude.
- Demonstrate a clear analytical approach and a methodical work process
- A minimum of 5 year's experience in a Manufacturing/Development role within a manufacturing company
- Educated to HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous experience working for an 1st tier Automotive manufacturer would be a real advantage.
- Experience of TS16949.
Working Hours: Hours 8.30-5.30 M-F with a 3pm finish on a Friday
