Getting energy from waste is a big thing at the moment and this company have developed a system that creates energy from our wasted food. As the mechanical design engineer you will be working on the design of new systems, supporting current products and managing the Vault system through Autodesk Inventor.

As a Mechanical Design and Development Engineer, you will be responsible for both the design and development of waste to energy bio-gas products working from specifications to design new systems and components.
As part of the design team you will be involved in projects from the concept and detailed design through to implementation, testing, production and handover.
You will also be involved in writing maintenance programs, build documentation and operating procedures as well as project plans and ISO documentation using the company's Autodesk Inventor and Vault system.
General Skills required:
" Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, renewable energy etc
" You must have excellent proven knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 3D and full use of the VAULT to document and manage all files in a structured manner
" Excellent communication skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers and clients
" The ability to analyse complex problems and assess possible solutions
" A comprehensive understanding of electrical H&S, DSEAR or HAZOP would be an advantage
" To take responsibility for the operations an oversight of operational sites in the absence of the A.D. Operations Manager and to be included in the out of hours alarm response rota.
" Willing to work in close proximity to organic waste, willing to handle the waste as necessary, able to work in confined spaces and at heights
Good Autodesk Inventor skills are the key to this role but engineers who have knowledge of either pumps, piping, structural frames and supports, pressure vessels, pneumatic systems or ventilation systems would be of interest.
