Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Sales Development Manager to join our team in the Essex area.
Sales Development Manager Responsibilities:
The successful Sales Development Manager will work to develop/drive new business opportunities within Pest markets. This will be achieved through referrals, use of existing and new relationships and cold calling. This role is a mechanism to drive profitable new growth to help ensure division/regional sales and profit targets are achieved. You will also be responsible for:
- 100% of activity will be dedicated to increasing Ecolab Pest market share. Target markets will include but not be limited to; Food & Beverage manufacturing plant, Pharmaceutical plant, Health and Aged Care (public and private), Hospitality (Hotel/Motels), Government facilities (Armed forces), Private Schools, Local Government, FSR (chain business), Restaurants.
- Achieving new business sales targets established as part of the budgeting process.
- Ensuring growth via new business is profitable by working to strict pricing guidelines.
- Conducting technical surveys to ensure a targeted Ecolab program.
- Preparing and presenting presentations to convey the Ecolab value proposition and secure new business.
- Constructing basic customer rollout plans to ensure the customer and field service team clearly understand the agreed Scope of work + expectation.
- Working with the field team and act as the one voice of Ecolab during prospecting, proposals and presentations.
- Managing the relationship and communicate with manager/peers on Corporate Accounts
- Building and fostering industry contacts via networking, trade shows, functions and equipment suppliers.
- Working in collaboration with Territory Managers, District Managers, Corporate Account Managers to achieve the desired sales outcome.
- Maintaining an accurate sales funnel detailing each account from prospect through to the supporting phase (including DA's).
- Adhering to company OHS policies, procedures and rules and follow safe work practices.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate standards.
The idealSales Development Manager:
- Previous sales development experience within the market sectors is preferred.
- Ability to build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, services/solutions with a focus upon their application into the markets.
- Be results-orientated and possess a strong track record in a business to business selling role, accustomed to growing the business by negotiating and winning new business at the customer multi-level.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills are a pre-requisite.
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills are essential with an aptitude to build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
- Possess exceptional negotiation skills and a passion to deliver and exceed client expectations.
- Capability to plan effectively and to carry out plans in a timely and efficient manner.
- Possess a willingness to learn through new experiences and opportunities, continually creating and executing new ways of doing business.
