Northumberland College has two main campuses at Ashington and Kirkley Hall and centres at Hexham and Berwick.

We offer hundreds of full-time and part-time courses, work with full-time students aged 14-18, full-time adult learners returning to learning, learners on part-time, work-based and apprenticeship programmes as well as higher education students working up to BA (Hons) level and employers from across the North East region.

The Construction Academy has developed strong links with local industry and offers Apprenticeships in most construction trades, as well as a growing programme of full cost courses, to meet the needs of individual employers. The main skill areas are Carpentry & Joinery, Painting & Decorating, Plastering, Flooring covering, Wall & Floor Tiling, Multi skills and Highways.

We require a dedicated and inspirational Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery who will motivate and engage students through high quality teaching.

Successful candidates will be expected to manage and deliver all aspects of Carpentry & Joinery and act as Course Team Leader for the programme. You will have a level 3 NVQ in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent and relevant experience in this area.
