This is an exciting opportunity to join a hi-growth, UK based software house specialising in enterprise solutions for the global insurance industry. With its Head Office in Winchester, Hants, they employ over 180 staff located in three separate sites. The company has grown, and continues to grow, by 25% per annum since its inception in 2003. They have the following exciting new opportunity located in Milton Keynes.

They are currently recruiting for a Technical Underwriter to join their Technical Underwriting Team. They are a busy IT office environment, using Microsoft products to deliver leading edge software to the insurance industry. They are constantly communicating with their clients who consist of insurers, brokers, MGA's, aggregators and other businesses, to deliver class leading Personal Lines Insurance products across Motor and Household lines of business.

The role is based in their Central Milton Keynes office, which is set in a great location and offers a fantastic working environment. You will be working with our Release, Support and Project Teams.

The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Involvement in projects from kick off to sign off
- Administering and raising jobs
- Testing client underwriting updates
- Liaising with the team and clients both verbally and electronically
- Testing new schemes
- Document creation
- Troubleshooting, investigating and potentially resolving client issues
- Working as part of a team
- Meeting participation

The successful candidate will require the following skills: -
- Experience in the Insurance industry
- Experience of Motor and/or Household Insurance
- Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Competency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Natural Problem Solver
- Methodical perspective
- Eye for detail
- Quick learner
- Good timekeeping
- Can work to deadlines

The successful candidate will ideally possess knowledge in the following: -
- Remote Desktop Protocol
- Bordereau, EDI
- Interest in IT

Training and mentoring will be provided to enable the successful candidate to learn the role. They also have internally developed software that you will become acquainted with. Applicants should be well presented with good communication skills both verbal and written.
