Full time ? Permanent ? GBP35,934 to GBP39,597 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the City Council's Sustainable Communities Directorate for two Senior Planning Officers to help drive forward and influence this change.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of a wide range of planning work. Depending on which post is being applied for this would include dealing with major development proposals, including appeals, and/or planning policy work, such as being involved the in the preparation, consultation and examination of statutory development plans and supporting evidence base documents.

Educated with a relevant degree in town planning or related discipline with membership or eligibility to be a member, of the Royal Town Planning Institute. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and the ability to analyse, interpret and present often complex information in a clear and concise manner.

There will opportunity for the successful candidates in both posts to gain experience in different areas of the Directorate to address particular corporate priorities as they arise.

Both posts are full-time, working 37 hours a week and based at the Civic Centre.
