The Client
Acorn is recruiting on behalf of our client for a dynamic and specialist Sales Coordinator to join their expanding team. The position is to cover a maternity contract which could be up to one year's cover.
The Role
* Coordination of sales activities to include:
* Identifying new and potential business opportunities.
* Building relationships with existing customers.
* Coordination of Products and sales on a day-to-day basis.
* Dealing with customer queries, preparation of quotations and customer orders for processing onto the computer sales system.
* Input and interface to the sales and marketing information database for accurate, up to date contract status project oriented sales.
* Answering telephone calls from customers and respond to questions raised by architects / contractors.
* Assist in preparing quotations for customers and prospective customers.
* Processing incoming faxes/emails.
* Data entry and updating of sales and marketing database.
* Assist the regional sales manager in key decision making.
* Checking of material stocks and providing technical help to others when required.
* Assist in quoting and tracking OPUS projects
* Follow up all quotes/projects
* Prepare sales/status report on a monthly basis.
The candidate
* Demonstrate a positive and customer focused attitude.
* Must have total commitment and drive to ensure success of this area of the business.
* Highly self-motivated dynamic attitude.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Able to use own initiative.
* Good negotiating skills.
* Technical awareness.
* Professional telephone manner.
* Good IT skills.
* GCSE's or equivalent in mathematics and English.
Benefits
* Paying a basic salary of GBP18,000 a year.
* Monday to Friday working hours (9am - 5 pm)
