Our client, a leading company working in the renewable energy sector, currently require a plant operator / operations technician to join their team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the plant and machinery, as well as operating a loading shovel.
As a plant operator, you'll be tasked with controlling and monitoring operations using the plant control systems, so experience of PLC / SCADA / DCS would be advantageous. Other duties will include first line maintenance, organising general plant inspection and maintenance tasks, providing data on outage times, breakdowns and PPM.
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have proven experience in a similar operations position, ideally in a power generation / renewable energy / process plant environment. Mechanical skills will also be advantageous; as occasional general maintenance tasks may be required.
They're offering a competitive salary of up to GBP28,000 depending on experience and you will be working as part of a 24/7 shift pattern, with the occasional overtime requirement.
