Purpose of Role:



To ensure that all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time in accordance with client service level agreements and agreed quality standards. To act as a subject matter expert, assisting with defining and implementing company initiatives and best practices. The candidate will liaise daily with the client, third parties and State Street colleagues here in Edinburgh and other global locations



Major Responsibilities:



Role specifics



Core Activities & Risk Management - 60%



  • Perform daily calculation of unitholder subscription & redemption proceeds, producing internal and external deliverables to tight deadline for downstream absorption & processing.

  • Perform / monitor cash flow allocation through fund hierarchies and validate output for trading.

  • Producing internal and external deliverables to tight deadlines to allow for timely deal placement.

  • Assist in the collation of monthly performance stats, for input into monthly client scorecards/Key Performance Indicators.

  • Assist in the Client Billings Process, providing input so as to enable timely and accurate invoicing

  • Assist in the Market Opening Process for any clients serviced within the department

  • Ensure all tasks performed in line with operational documentation and checklists, ensuring clear visibility and transparency of completion.

  • Identify any potential issues, escalating to Officer or Assistant Vice President, if appropriate.

Client Interaction - 10%



  • Act as entry point for any client queries, managing expectation re timelines to resolve.

  • Respond to queries as professionally and properly, ensuring the client is aware of any delays which will impact timelines to response.

  • Establish good relations, displaying a professional attitude in all dealings.

Query Resolution - 15%



  • Raise queries as and when appropriate, ensuring appropriate logging and monitoring to resolution within reasonable timeframes.

  • Identify any potential issues, escalating to Officer or Assistant Vice President, if appropriate.

Internal Meetings - 5%



  • Attend meetings with internal stakeholders, ensuring and displaying awareness of how role and responsibilities sit within overall client service.

  • Generate and build cross functional relationships, sharing issues and resolutions.

  • Provide input into any internal process reviews, which can allow for improvement, efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Training & Development - 10%



  • Develop full understanding of end-to-end processes

  • Provide input into objective setting and appraisal process

  • Demonstrate understanding of all policies (departmental, site, regional, or corporate).

  • Demonstrate strong risk awareness, taking steps to reduce State Streets exposure to risk



Level of Education / Specific Qualifications:



  • Business degree from University or equivalent/relevant market experience

Skills and Experience:



  • End to end understanding and experience of fund administration, pricing and the industry is essential

  • Completion and review of all pricing and client deliverables

  • Demonstrate full understanding of pricing specific regulations

  • IAQ qualified or studying towards

The following experience would be useful in this role but not essential:



  • Box Management

  • Nav production or Oversight (Life and Pension funds)

  • Unit Dealing
