This is an exciting opportunity to join Andros as the Category Manager across both the preserves and chilled desserts categories. As well as the branded Bonne Maman preserves, Andros offer own label products to their customers including Tesco, Asda and Waitrose.

The Category Manager is a critical role within the business allowing you to demonstrate knowledge and leadership to their retail partners, reviewing and recommending range developments improvement to their business. You will highlight future focuses for the retailer accounts based on insights; reviewing, tracking and evaluation on the performance.

With access to multiple data sources including Kantar, IRI and customer loyalty cards, this role requires you to be highly analytical; manipulating and simplifying data, creating report and presenting material to support both internal and external customer influence.

Working collaboratively with the Label and Brand Controller, you will create the selling stories to develop long-term investment and transform opportunities for future brand growth.

The products are either imported or produced in the dedicated chilled dessert facility in the South West of England. Bonne Maman has seen significant success in the UK over recent years becoming brand leader of the jam category in 2013 and continues to demonstrate significant share growth year on year. Within chilled desserts Bonne Maman has embarked on an ambitious plan comprising dedicated UK range and TV support this year. Bonne Maman is known for its simple, great quality, natural products evoking a homely welcoming and trustworthy brand.

Description

The Category Manager will work in partnership with the retailers and act as the Category Adviser across ambient and chilled and be responsible for the following:

- Combining research, merchandising, planning and working with category development to drive growth within the Andros brand and retailer brand portfolio
- Using promotional strategy and space and merchandising to influence range and distribution within the retailers
- Managing retailer category reviews
- Influencing retailers by utilising shopper insight, evaluation and category trends
- Using multiple data sources, analyse data and devise promotional programmes that are specific to each retailer
- Identify gaps and opportunities within the chilled and ambient market
- Creating ongoing reports specific to the Andros UK performance
- Develop and maintain string relationships with the Sales team
- Ensure the Andros UK key strategy and objectives are understood at all times

Profile

The successful candidate will comfortably demonstrate a successful track record at a similar level from the FMCG industry (ideally food or drink), with experience in driving the growth of own label and/or branded products.

As the Category Manager, you will be commercially aware, a highly analytical thinker and have working knowledge of multiple data tools including IRI and Kantar. You must be able to influence retailer and provide ambitious yet realistic recommendation to achieve sales targets
