Typical Deliverables
You'll receive on-the-job training and undertake a locally managed college course in IT and telecommunications, resulting in a level 3 BTEC qualification. You will learn to install, repair and commission vast amounts of customer equipment in various types of locations, from telephone exchanges to office environments.
One week in every month you'll need to travel to our head office in Warwick for team building and group activities, as well as progress reviews and meetings with your manager and colleagues. You'll be coached and managed throughout your apprenticeship by experienced telent employees and be offered support and mentoring from experienced field engineers.
Qualifications:
To qualify to join telent as an apprentice you must have:
*A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A* - C specifically in Maths, English and Science or an IT related subject
*Full UK driving licence
*Be 18 years of age from September 2017

To be suitable for the telent Network Services apprenticeship you must:
*be able to undertake physically demanding work and possess normal colour vision and hearing
*adhere to telent's strict policy on Drugs & Alcohol
*be able to work at heights
*be keen to learn and develop your personal skills
*be an effective communicator both written and verbal
*have a positive, can-do attitude
*be able to work as part of a team
*be keen to work outdoors in all kinds of environments

Recruitment Process:
The recruitment process for telent apprentices is split into 3 stages.
Stage 1: At this initial stage you'll be contacted by our recruitment team, TSS and you'll need to clarify you meet the requirements for the telent apprenticeship. You'll also be asked why you're interested in telent and the work you may undertake if successful. We are looking for keen individuals so ensure you make a good impression. If you meet the criteria you'll be asked to complete an online dependability assessment.
Stage 2: If you pass this online assessment you could be invited to one of our assessment centre days.
During the assessment day you'll learn about telent and the Network Services division, meet telent managers, employees and some of our current apprentices. You'll also take part in a team-building exercise as well as a colour blind assessment, practical test and will complete 2 psychometric tests.
Stage 3: If you meet the criteria at the assessment centre you may then be asked to attend an interview.

The dates for the stages are outlined below and will be held at 3 of our main telent premises. If you are successful on the assessment day you'll need to be available on the associated Interview date. If for any reason you are unavailable to attend any of the assessment days listed below please let the recruitment team know as soon as possible.

You'll be reimbursed for any travel costs to and from the required telent site, providing you bring receipts for the costs incurred. For example, you could provide a fuel receipt or train ticket.
